Sara Ryan is also the author of Empress of the World．which was named an ALA Best Book for Young Adults．a BookIist Top Ten Teen Romance，and a Lambda Award Finalist，and won the Oregon Book Award．
    She and cartoonist Steve Lieber collaborated on the short comics flytrap：Juggling Act and Me and Edith Head．The latter,featuring a character from Empress of the World，was an Eisner Award Finalist for Best Short Story．
