内容概要

本书的特点表现在三个方面：结构布局、内容编排、练习模式。首先，本书的结构布局是：图式认知+概念认知→记忆输入+记忆输入→信息提取+语言应用。这三个步骤的意义在于，第一步骤的“图式认知+概念认知”，强调的是新知的接触和输入；第二个步骤的“记忆输入+记忆输入”所强调的是和第一步骤的连接和对新知的巩固；第三个步骤的“信息提取+语言应用”，强调了和第二个步骤的衔接和语言的实际应用。归根结底，这三个步骤所强调的完全可以用“学了就要用，立竿见影”一语概括之。    在兼顾语音语调练习和时态使用练习的同时，以15课的篇幅将涉及英语语法基础的各种现象予以系统的介绍；所有内容的安排均属“链式”，每个环节中的大多数内容都具有相当程度的启发性和喻示性；每一课均配备了“巩固记忆”和“创造性语用”的练习，帮助学习者养成良好的语言意识和英语思维习惯。

作者简介

汪福祥，北京第二外国语学院教授，主要从事高年级英语写作和英汉翻译教学。著有《英语写作技巧新编》、《英美文化与英汉翻译》、《大学英语作文写作》、《现代英语500例》系列、《现代英语妙语语林》系列、《心理学概念》以及《奥妙的人体语言》等50多种。1992年被评为北京市高校优秀青年骨干教师。除教学工作外，主要从事行为心理学和翻译理论的研究。主要论文有“评《论语》一书的英译文”、“模糊逻辑模型与交股模型的解析与重组”和“翻译和翻译理论研究的几种倾向”等。

版权页：Within the intimate environment of marriage and the constraints of society each couple creates itsunique social organization. The couple must work out mutually satisfatory solutions to such crucialareas of potential conflict as the division of labor; how the family decisions will be made or reached;the use of money ; the use of leisure time; patterns of sexual behavior; whether to have children or notand if so, when; how the children will be raised; the fair share of respect for each of the couple'sparents; the resolutions of conflicts; and the like. Needless to say, couples vary in their ability toachieve satisfactory arrangements in these critical areas of married life.Of course, couples always faced adjustments but the problems inherent in marriage are nowcompounded by a critical difference —— the changing definitions of roles for men and women. In thepast, women and men entered into the marriage relationship with an unquestioned set of roles andresponsibilities that each is duty-bound to fulfill. The husband would work outside the home andprovide for the matetrial needs while the wife would take care of the home, raise the children, andprovide for the emotional needs of the family members. He would achieve and she would support.Power should be asymmetrical with the husband in charge.  As Rubin said in 1983:  " She'dsubordinate her life to his, and wouldn't even notice it; her needs for achievement and mastery wouldbe met vicariously through his accomplishments or those of the children. "
