版权页：   插图：    胡同 胡同是北京特有的一种古老的城市小巷。自元朝出现胡同时算起，至今已有700多年的历史。胡同在元朝刚刚形成时，排列整齐，呈棋盘格局，但自明清以后就不那么规范了，不但有横的、竖的，还有斜的胡同。北京的胡同原本很多，老北京人说“有名胡同三百六，无名胡同似牛毛”，意思是说北京的胡同多得数不清。新中国成立后，北京城经历几次大的改造，许多胡同被毁消失，目前留存的，什刹海一带最为密集，这里的胡同、民居，受到国家重点保护。  Hutongs Hutongs are old narrow streets or alleys specially associated with ancient Beijing city.They have existed for over 700 years since the Yuan Dynasty when Hutongs were orderly formed in chessboard arrangement However Hutongs in the Ming and Qing dynasties go into disorder At that time,the numerable Hutongs were described by BeiJing People in the old saying "there are 360 named Hutongs and nameless ones a dime a dozen Following the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949,many of the old Hutongs disappeared with several times of reconstruction of Beijing city.The presently preserved Hutongs are mostly dotted in the Shichahai Lake area where the Hutongs and residences are under the state-level protection.
