版权页：   插图：    CHANGE THE WAY YOU TRAVEL We love to travel around in cars and planes,but they both burn fossil fuels.Planes Droduce more carbon dioxide than anv other form of transport.Theyproduce it high in the atmosphere,where it can do the most damage. Walk or cycle instead of going by car. Use buses and trains.Whenlots of people travel together in one vehicle, fewer greenhouse gases are produced per person. Use a car that is powered by an electric battery.Some greenhouse gases are produced by creating the electricity for the battery,but fewer than a petrol-powered car produces. Hybrid cars are powered by electric batteries and petrol.Hybrid cars can switch from their petrol-powered engines to electric batteries when the car is not moving.This reduces the amount of greenhouse gases they produce. Take holidays closer to home so you don't need to fly.Or take shorter flights so airlines can use smaller,low-flying planes that produce less greenhouse gases. 改变出行方式 我们喜欢开车或者搭乘飞机旅行，但是这都要燃烧化石燃料。飞机比其他任何形式的交通工具产生的二氧化碳都要多。飞机产生的二氧化碳都排放在高空，产生的污染最为严重。 步行或骑自行车，而不开车。 坐公交车或者地铁。如果许多人共用一个交通工具，这样人均温室气体的产生量就会减少。 使用电动汽车。在蓄电池的制造过程中会产生温室气体，但是这比汽油驱动的车产生的温室气体要少很多。 混合动力汽车是由蓄电池和汽油驱动的车。当车不能行驶时，混合动力汽车便关闭汽油发动机，并开启蓄电池发动机继续行驶。这将减少温室气体的排放。 去离家不远的地方度假，这样就不用乘飞机，或者只要乘坐小型飞机作短距离飞行，这样就会减少温室气体的排放。
