　　W: I hear that the small island on the sea will be a hot tourist attraction soon.　　M: How do you know?　　W: The government is trying to develop this island so that more visitors will come here. I read about the news from the newspaper.　　M: That island is really very nice and beautiful. There are so many seabirds and tall green trees on the island. We can see some visitors go there by ship or by boat. Im sure there will be more tourists in the future.　　W: More visitors mean more pollution. That will destroy the beautiful island.　　M: I think the government will pay attention to the protection of the island and the sea.　　W: In that case, it will be good news for us villagers here. (Text 8)　　W: So, here we are, deep in the forest. With me is Dr Mike Green. Dr Green, can you tell us a little about this wonderful place?　　M: Yes, of course. As you can see, the forest is full of= trees, birds and insects.　　W: Yes, there are some strange and beautiful plants everywhere. How many different kinds of plants are there?　　M: Well, in just one square kilometer of the forest, you can find about one thousand five hundred different kinds of plants. Among them fifteen hundred kinds of plants dont grow in any other places in the world.　　W: And there are hundreds of trees too, arent there?　　M: Yes, there are. In fact, there are about seven hundred and fifty trees in one square kilometer.　　W: Really? Now Im sure people listening to this program can hear this unbelievable noise. It is really very loud. Whats making all the noise?　　M: Well, of course, the forest is full of living things. For example, you can find about four hundred different kinds of birds in just one square kilometer.　　W: Really? How interesting！
