前言

  随着上海市二期课程教材改革的不断深人发展,中学英语教学的目标不断更新。新教材具有注重学生语言综合运用能力的培养等特点,已为广大师生和家长认同和接受,并达成一致的共识:社会的发展,对学生摄取信息和交际能力的要求不断提升,学生对词汇和听说读写的需求激增。广大师生迫切需求一套适合新教材、新要求、新目标的教学辅导书,来帮助学生课前预习和课后复习,有效培养学生的外语学习能力,使学生在课内学习与课后复习自测相得益彰,有效提高外语学习效益。为此我们编写了一套配合《新世纪初中英语》教材的教学辅导书。  作者均来自教学第一线。他们具有丰富的教学实践经验,擅长于根据学生的不同语言水平,编写各种学习材料。编者对新教材教学目标清晰,对新教材编写体例等特点熟悉,对学生学习过程中所遇到的困难了解。这些均为编写好本书提供了可靠的保证。  本书分为两大部分:第一部分是每课的语言点、句型和语法的讲解,并配有精当的实例;第二部分是有关上述语言点、句型和语法等的综合练习。各种练习的设计均出自于强化基础知识,巩固词汇,提高听、说、读、写能力的目的。本系列丛书的编写是一种尝试,缺点和不足在所难免,敬请广大师生指正。

  Two men were having a fight in a street. The big man hit the little man hard andthe little man fell down on the ground. Then the big man saw a policeman. The po-liceman was coming along the street. The big man hid himself in a shop. The police-man looked down at the man on the ground, but the little man didnt move. The po-liceman stopped a taxi, and took the man in his arms and put him into the back ofthe taxi. The policeman got into the taxi, too. The man in the back didnt move orspeak.  The taxi stopped outside a doctors. The policeman carried the man into thehouse. The doctor looked at the little man ~~md said, “Maybe he is dead. He isntmoving. “ The little man heard the doctor and sat up, “Im not dead! Im alive!”  The policeman was angry, “Do you know better than the doctor?” The man an-swered, “Yes. Thank you very much for taking me away from that big man. Good-bye!”  ……
