  《跨文化交际中的人际关系管理》一书从“礼貌理论”为出发点,提出了一个分析言语交际中关系管理的理论框架,并应用相关学科的研究成果,采用跨学科的视角,对言语行为中的关系管理问题进行了文化对比研究,对跨文化交际中的言语行为进行了语篇分析。全书在理论探讨、实证研究和研究方法三个层面上探讨了如何使用语言来促进、维护或威胁和谐的社会关系这一主题。本书主编Helen Spencer-Oatey 博士是关系管理理论研究和文化对交际影响研究的著名专家,目前在英国卢顿大学担任跨文化交际硕士项目的课程主管和英格兰高教拨款委员会e-China 的项目经理。
