内容概要

作者简介

　　简·奥斯汀（Jane Austen），（1775-1817）简·奥斯汀先后创作了6部长篇小说，是英国最早发表现实主义小说的女作家。《傲慢与偏见》（Pride and Prejudice）是她最受欢迎的小说之一，而《爱玛》（Emma）则是她艺术思想上最杰出的一部作品。奥斯汀以女性特有的细致笔触，轻松诙谐地描绘了乡间中产阶级的绅士淑女间的婚姻爱情故事。她的作品语言清新，富有喜剧性冲突，深受读者欢迎，在英国小说发展史上具有承上启下的意义。

He had been remarkably handsome inhis youth; and, at fifty-four, was still a very fine man.
