比尔・克林顿（BillClinton）是美国第四
十二任总统。1946年出生在美国南部的阿肯
色州。他小时候家境贫寒，出生前父亲已去世，
由经营一家小杂货铺的祖父抚养长大。曾入华
盛顿乔治・敦大学攻读外交政策，1967年留
学英国牛津大学，1970年又入耶鲁大学，1973
年毕业后回家乡阿肯色州工作。
他1976年通过竞选担任该州的首席检察
官，1978年和1982年曾两次当选阿肯色州州
长，任总统前已担任该州州长长达十二年之
久。他的对外政策的核心是美国应该在国际上
发挥更大的“领导作用”，对内政策的重点是解
决经济问题。
比尔・克林顿的妻子希拉里・克林顿
（HilaryClint0n）毕业于耶鲁大学法律系，是一
位有名望的律师。
