　　语调是言语交际中的重要语言现象，包含丰富的语言、副语言以及非语言信息。在本书中，作者主要针对目前英、汉语语调音系研究中尚存的主要问题从理论和实证两个方面展开论述，在此基础上对英、汉语调音系的结构与表征提出了自己的见解，并对二者之间的异同做了系统对比。　　针对英、汉语调音系的不同研究现状，本书对英、汉语调采取了不同的研究方法。英语语调的研究主要在理论评析的基础上，结合对实际语料的观察对现有英语语调表征体系提供修改。汉语语调研究则主要通过发音、听辩实验及语料观察等途径，针对目前研究中的主要问题展开探讨。　　本书关于英、汉语调的系统结构尤其是汉语高事件的声学表现的具体结论，推动了英、汉语调研究的深入，对于语调教学及言语工程也具有一定的借鉴意义。

作者简介

陈虎，1977年生，湖北随州人。1998年毕业于解放军外国语学院英语系，同年考取该院英语语言文学专业硕士研究生、2001年获硕士学位。之后考取该院英语语言文学专业博士研究生，师从严辰松教授学习英汉对比研究，2005年获博士学位，并留校任教。现为该院英语系讲师。已在外语类
