  •   非常浅显地介绍从89年以来几乎全部ISO/ITU-T颁布的数字视频压缩算法标准与多媒体应用建议,加入了IP和ATM的介绍性的技术评介,同时加入了一些到写作当时的比较新的研究成果。主要内容有数字视频压缩算法、内部网络视频通信的代码转换等。作为从事网络视频应用开发的人员来说,是一本比较好的教材.当然,这本书也有它的很多的不足之处:首先,由于是老外写的,所以思维和我们的不一样,如果要想看懂,似乎还得要以老外的思维去思考.其次,主要是英文版的,就不用我说了,看起来还是要点基本功的了.总之,是一本好书.推荐大家阅读.
