内容概要

本书兼顾英语语言的应用和经济学业知识两个方面。学生在锻炼英语应用能力的同时，又可学到经济学方面的知识。    本书对学生的要求：达到或超过四级英语水平；不必事先具有经济学方面的知识。    本书对教师的要求：具有一定经济学知识的英语教师，或英语水平较高的经济类专业教师。    第二册主课文所涉及的内容包括了经济学方面的基础知识和基本概念。各单元内容分别为：国民生产总值；通货膨胀与失业；国际贸易；市场营销；跨国公司；环境保护；外汇与汇率；GATT与WTO；广告学；欧盟。    第二册比第一册的涉及面广。不仅是宏观经济学和微观经济学的内容，同时增加了当今世界经济发展所涉及的话题。    课文注释包括两个方面，英语语言点和经济学术语。    各单元生词的释义基本采用英、汉双语形式。生词起点以教育部公布的《大学英语教学大纲通用词汇表》中的四级以上词汇为准。    各单元练习的设计和提高学生应用英语的能力以及专业术语和基本概念的掌握。教师在要求学生掌握基本经济学知识的同时，还应强调学生的口头交流能力和笔头表达能力。本书分为十个单元，以经济学方面的原理和基础知识为主要内容。课文精选自近年出版的经济类英文原著，旨在提高学生的听说、写译和专业阅读技能。本书可供大专院校经济类各专业的高年级学生、研究生及教师使用。

翟象俊，现为复旦大学公共外语部教授。主要代表作有：主编《大学英语》（精读）。
