Martin shareda long list of green initiatives，including green parking，composting，an energy management program，waterless urinal trials，LED garagelighting trials，a bicycle commuter incentive program，prairie grassrestoration，natural pesticides，green cleaning and discounted refills fordrinks in reusable cups.　　3 An important part of Sprint's green office program isexecutive—level support.Even though the company has been focused onthe environment for more than a decade，CEO Dan Hesse，has made ita top priority."He made it clear to all that the environment iS and willbe a key pdorty for Sprint."Martin explained.This kind of executivesupport，she added，is one of the best ways Sprint has been able tomaintain its focus on green efforts.　　4 In this down economy，businesses may be tempted to cut"unnecessary"items，such as recycling programs or switching to energy—efficient light bulbs. But Sprint has shown green efforts can savecompanies a sizable amount of money.　　5 Sprint has removed all foam cups from break rooms across thenation and offered reusable cups to interested employees.The savings：＄135，000 a year.And this effort kept 5 million cups a year out of the trash.　　6 Last year，the company implemented Sprint Mobile Workforce，which allows employees the opportunity to work from home. Not onlydoes it foster work/life balance and give employees greater flexibility，itsaved Sprint ＄20 million every year.　　……
