But from the viewpoint of enterprises,China is not a strong power in petrochemi-cal industry yet mainly because the distribution of petrochemical enterprises is scattered. the scale is smaller and the technical level is lower. In oil products,the total output can basically meet the needs of domestic market but the quality and quantity of a part of the petroleum products still cannot meet the market demand,particularly lubrication oil and fuel 0il.The quality criterion of gasoline and kero-sene falls behind world advanced 1evel,hardly able to meet more and more strict environmental requirements. For petrochemical products,the market share of the three major synthetic materials and organic petrochemical materials is only 50%and large volume has to be imported.……
