　　在英语新高考中，短文改错这一大题本身占分不多。但足够的训练不仅能够提高本大题的得分率，也能促进自己提高语言的正确性（accuracy）。一定量的集中强化训练，如每周20篇或每天3-5篇，有练有评，一定能够大大提高英语水平，并对单项选择和书面表达等能力的提高大有裨益。　　从本大题本身的答题看，一定量的训练也能帮助考生提高应试能力。例如，在训练的过程中，考生会对题目设置的规律及应答方式有更多的感性认识。实际上，短文改错时，考生就是在错词、缺词、多词三种情形下回旋。其中错词每篇需要改动6-8个（通常是8个，极少数情况下是6个），包括词形（如单复数、动词形式等）、搭配或上下文逻辑关系等方面的错误。缺词与多词也是要求考生按语法、搭配或上下文逻辑关系的需要去定位并修正。不过无论是错词、缺词还是多词，考生在改错时只能动一个词。基于这些认识，可以了解以下一般的改错原则：先看语法（如时态、句法、名词形式、形容词和副词的比较形式、主谓与人称等的一致等），然后看搭配，接着看上下文的逻辑关系。
