  《汉语母语者第二语言习得成绩的年龄效应研究》是在作者黄怀飞的博士论文的基础上编写而成的。其独到之处在于,它突破了单纯理论思辨的局限,以大量的调查和丰富的数据,对从幼儿园到初中不同年龄段开始学习英语的被试进行学习成效的相关分析,并且证明了自己的假设,即外语学习并不是越小开始越好,最早的适应阶段应当是小学高年级。
