本书对东北亚国家在过去十几年间开展的区域环境合作机制进行了比较全面的回顾，分析了这些合作机制所取得的成绩，并对东北亚未来的环境合作进行了展望。从提高合作效果的角度，对改善这些合作机制提出了建议。总体看来，东北亚区域环境合作加强了东北亚国家的沟通和理解，提高了能力和意识，为加强东北亚国家的环境保护作出了一定的贡献。从长远角度看，这些合作机制在增强沟通协调、保障合作资金的充足和稳定、加强合作机制的制度建设、扩大东北亚国家的参与范围、加强利益相关方的参与、深化合作等方面仍有进一步改善的空间。    本书适于政府决策人员、高校师生、科研人员以及相关媒体工作者阅读参考。
