前言

　　《核心英语教程综合自测与训练》是《核心英语教程》主教材的配套用书，完全根据主教材的脉络和构思来进行联系项目的设置和编写，起到了补充和增加的作用。《核心英语教程综合自测与训练》第4册分为两部分，即“Text－related Exercises”和“PRETCO Model Test”。第一部分依据课文的语言材料和教学要求，设计了有关练习，提供了多种题型，便于学生有效地操练在主教材中学到的词汇、语法和翻译等有关知识点。第二部分则根据《高等院校英语应用能力考试大纲》，提供了模拟题，其难度、题量与标准考试保持一致，可为学生以后参加应用能力考试做好准备。本册是《核心英语教程综合自测与训练》第4册，供大学二年级第二学期学生使用。　　本系列配套用书内容丰富，题型设计多样化，语言规范，对深化理解主教材的课文和操练所学的词汇、句型和结构能起到积极的辅导作用，同时通过有针对性的考试练习，为学生能顺利通过“高等院校英语应用能力考试”铺平道路，也为学生更好地进行自测、自检所学的知识提供了方便。　　本系列配套用书的编者来自上海市及全国其他省市多所高职院校，他们具有多年的英语教学经验，都在第一线从事英语教学工作，他们用自己的教学成果编写了此书。还有许多教师为本系列配套用书提供了大量的宝贵意见，在此表示衷心的感谢。　　由于编者水平所限，书中不足之处在所难免，恳请广大教师和读者不吝批评指正。
