前言

  《初中英语阅读训练》是依据《英语课程标准》关于初中学生英语阅读能力培养要求编写的系列阅读教材,供老师开展课上阅读或指导学生开展课外自主阅读使用。本教材总的指导思想是使学生通过一定的阅读实践活动,进一步巩固课上所学语言知识,扩大阅读范围,激发他们的学习兴趣,增强阅读理解能力,从而提高学生实际运用语言的能力。  本教材采用主题模块化设计,每个模块有3个单元,每个单元有1篇文章,文章长度150~350词不等。在上述总的编写思想指导下,本教材具有以下特色:  一、体现《英语课程标准》理念,充分吸收先进的阅读和语言学习理论,借鉴“任务型学习(task-based learning)”原则,科学合理地设计教材结构,安排学习内容,注重体现学用结合。  二、以激发学生学习兴趣为出发点。对青少年学生来讲,趣味性强的学习材料和活动能够进一步激发他们的学习兴趣和学习动机,从而提高学习效果。本教材选材及活动设计充分考虑了初中学生的知识水平和认知水平以及他们的兴趣、爱好和愿望等心理需求。  三、强调培养学生阅读能力,但同时注重多种语言技能协同发展。在语言学习阶段,传统观念把阅读视为语言输入的一种方式,将其与听力、口语与写作割裂开来学习与训练。而在实际交际中,语言运用是一个整体概念,是多种技能的有机结合。本教材改变以往做法,围绕阅读设计了多种活动和任务,采取读前观察与思考、读中体验与思考以及读后思考并写说的模式,充分调动学生的观察力和想象力,使其通过多种感知和体验,在输入的基础上逐渐锻炼输出能力,从而提高综合语言运用能力。  四、阅读材料的编写基于语言学习规律,其词汇和语言结构的呈现符合初中学生的认知能力和身心发展水平,并与新课程标准的要求保持一致。  五、注重阅读技能的训练和阅读理解能力的培养。活动和练习形式灵活多样,既有客观性的阅读理解训练,又有开放性的练习形式,从多角度对学生语言技能进行训练,为学生形成一定的英语阅读能力奠定良好的基础。  我们希望,这套阅读教材不仅能够解决初中学生阅读资源不足的问题,而且能够进一步拓展学生视野,帮助学生养成良好的阅读习惯和策略,在文化意识方面得到加强,综合素质得到提高。

  The Hobby Market at Harbin Junior High last Saturday was a big success——the creativeteenagers had a chance to share their hobbies and to make some money at the sametime. Our reporter visited to find out more.  Li Ming was showing his collection of radio-controlled cars. There were a lot of peoplein the playground watching him send the cars racing around, turning and going fast.Some lucky people had an opportunity to control the cars, but they did not have LiMings skill.  In the hall, everyone was interested in Liu Jiaxins cooking. She was selling cakes, icecream, sandwiches and fish-balls, all made at home and very tasty. We think Liu Jiaxincan easily earn a living from her hobby; she is so good at it.  Ma Hua knows all about metal-detectors. As you move one over the ground and ifthere is any metal underneath, it starts making a noise. Ma Hua showed some of theinteresting things he had found, some of them very old. If his friends lose their keys,they usually go to Ma Hua for help.  Nearby, many people were buying dolls from Chen Yuan. She makes them at homefrom small pieces of cloth. Their faces are lovely. Chen Yuan has a lot of skill and isvery creative. Every child would like one of her dolls.  At the end of the hall, we found Zhao Feng and Shen Xue. Their hobby is writing, anda little book of their stories has just come out. Their friend Yang Lei has added picturesand the book is very nice to look at. They were selling a lot of them and looked very happy.  Outside at the back, Li Hui was showing his unusual hobby: glass-blowing. You canwatch him blow air into hot glass and make lovely shapes with many different colours.On Saturday he was making glasses and people were buying them as fast as he madethem.
