内容概要

《德伯家的苔丝》描述了一位纯洁姑娘的不幸命运。主人公苔丝是一位美丽的农家少女，因受东家少爷诱迫而失身怀孕。从此，这一耻辱的事实剥夺了她接受真正爱情的权利，致使新婚之夜遭丈夫遗弃?后来，万般无奈之中，她重回了少爷的怀抱，不料，就在这时她那有名无实的丈夫拖着病驱千里归来，苦苦寻觅。苔丝为了自己真正的爱，毅然杀死同居的少爷，在与丈夫短暂欢聚后，走上了绞刑台。

作者简介

托马斯·哈代（1840-1928），英国诗人、小说家。他是横跨两个世纪的作家，早期和中期的创作以小说为主，继承和发扬了维多利亚时代的文学传统；晚年以其出色的诗歌开拓了英国20世纪的文学。
哈代的小说以他所生长生活的英格兰西南部地区为背景，富有浓重的地方色彩。他的小说大体分为3类：性格与环境的小说、罗曼史与幻想的小说和精于结构的小说。哈代小说风格多变，题材广泛，内容丰富。他因在小说创作上所取得的突出成就而成为英国19世纪后期的代表作家。
哈代作为诗人，也颇有声誉。哈代的诗冷峻、深刻、细腻、优美，言简意赅，自成一格，较他的小说更具有现代意识。诗剧《列王》是哈代思想艺术集大成之佳作。
 
哈代晚年因在诗歌小说创作上的突出成就而获得巨大荣誉。逝世后，葬于伦敦威斯敏斯特诗人角，其心脏则按本人遗愿葬于故乡的斯廷斯福德教堂墓地。他写的传记和一些文学论文、文学笔记以及书信陆续出版。他在英国和世界各国具有相?大的影响。中国从上世纪20～30年代开始陆续介绍、翻译哈代的诗及小说作品，他已成为中国读者熟悉的英国作家之一。

•   先看的电影 说实话 看完之后不像那种青春偶像剧那样开心 但是回味无穷 我曾经跟来自伦敦的友人探讨过此书中人物谁对谁错的问题 但是不管谁对谁错 至少苔丝最后为自己做出了最正确的选择
